Accident cause: stupid driver at the helm
May. 18th, 2010 08:36 am The bus I rode this morning had a reckless driver. The kind that won't slow down to let another bus filled with people overtake him. As a result, he was forced to choose at the last second: hit the other bus at relatively high speed, hit a pedestrian crossing at relatively high speed, or hit a low-lying concrete block at relatively high speed. He chose the third option, which gave us a sharp, brutal shock that severed the front-left wheel. The concrete block almost gave away, too, and I'm glad it didn't because otherwise it would have driven the bus into either a ditch or the aforementioned pedestrian crossing.
All in all, nobody was hurt though (not even a scratch, wooo!). Still, a lot of angry passengers ended up late for work/school/whatever. Add to this a cold rainy weather, and you get why my day didn't start out too well.
